Prof. Dr. Sebastian Firk joined the latest episode of "The Exchange" podcast from the American Accounting Association, the leading academic association for accounting research. Together with his co-author Yannik Gehrke (University of Hamburg), he talked about their paper “Digital Anxiety in the Finance Function: Consequences and Mitigating Factors” (published in the Journal of Management Accounting Research).

In conversation with Jim Tilk (Director of Solutions Strategy & Marketing at Blackline), they explore how digital transformation is reshaping the finance function and go over some of the challenges that organizations encounter while trying to implement digital technologies. They especially highlight the importance of managing the emotional responses of employees to digitalization and propose ways to improve employee buy-in.
