You have probably already heard or read about the pay of executives. These multi-million dollar paychecks often spark controversy and make for easy headlines, yet the public debate rarely captures the complex reality behind the headline numbers. In this seminar, organized in cooperation with market-leading consulting firm Mercer, we look past the surface to explore the fundamental challenges and design choices that define modern executive incentives. In doing so, students will engage with current research and study actual executive compensation data to determine what actually works to effectively incentivize executives.
